Altitude Day 2010!!
In 2009, over 3500 students participated in Altitude Days from the Northern Territory to Tasmania! In 2010, they are back and bigger than before with fantastic Ambassadors of Leadership and more inspirational and motivational content from our Facilitation Team. Altitude Day helps students explore and understand the potential that they have as young people to make a difference in their school and communities. It empowers them to take action. It is an experience that they won’t forget. Find out (insert hyperlink) where Altitude Days are being held in your local area and register your students now!
PRIMARY SCHOOL CLUSTER MODEL
Based on the success of our 2009 Mid Coast Community of Schools Cluster Day on the Gold Coast and the Redbank Plains Year 6 Leadership Day, we are looking for interested school communities to hold their own Altitude Days! In October 2009, 6 local Primary Schools came together at Miami State High School and in December Redbank Plains State High School played host to four local Primary Schools. Not only did the year 6 students get a great introduction to leadership and what it means to them, they also experienced the facilities of a local High School. Year 11 student leaders from both High Schools also assisted with the facilitation and delivery of the day as a demonstration of their own leadership capabilities. If you are interested in a Altitude Day in your community, contact Laury Bray on (07) 3269 2233 or laury@ylead.com.au .
