The Australian Student Leadership Conference

The Australian Student Leadership Conference

Australia's premier student leadership residential training courses

Since 1991, the Australian Student Leadership Conference has attracted thousands of student leaders from around Australia and are regarded as mandatory by many secondary schools. The primary purpose is to engage young adults in powerful leadership and personal growth development experiences. These experiences generate genuine self belief and a vision and values driven commitment to contribute positively towards our society.

The Conference practices and principles have evolved from many years of student leadership research and working with over 250 schools annually around Australia. The leadership model of the 1980s and 90s, defined as 'making sure that students are behaving themselves at the bus stop' or 'leading the cheering on Sports Day', is now replaced by student leaders who directly:

  • Impact the quality of student life
  • Make a difference in community
  • Enhance the school environment
  • Address social justice issues

We've designed a conference that reflects these changing definitions, and gives your young people all the skills they need to effectively communicate with others, make decisions, speak confidently to an audience, set goals and pursue their dreams. Many students find this experience life-changing and liberating! We invite you to browse the links to the left to find out why.
