Pride Of Australia National Medal 2009

Bernie Kelly

Bernie Kelly - Inspiration Medal

On Monday 30th November 2009,  The Pride of Australia National Medal award ceremony took place at the Grand Ballroom of The Westin in Sydney, The winners of the awards stood tall while dignitaries, celebrities and sponsors honoured these remarkable Australians.

Among the 12 winners our very own Bernie Kelly won the ‘Inspiration Medal’ for the ongoing belief that every child deserves the right to leave school knowing they can make a difference. Bernie has done this by building his “university of leadership” which is now known as yLead.

Congratulations Bernie!  A fitting tribute to a lifetime of dedication to raising self esteem in youth. We also celebrate the wonderful family support and sacrifice from Frances, Bernice and James that makes all of this possible.
