Community Leaders Award

The 2010 yLead Community Leaders Award is an opportunity to recognise and reward school projects that demonstrate:

Leadership is any action that makes the world I touch a better place

The award is open to schools that attend the Brisbane or Sunshine Coast Australian Student Leadership Conferences, where the school Leaders will be introduced to the Award and the role that they will play in their school's project.

Senior Student Leaders will help develop, nominate and deliver their community project with assistance from the schools' Student Representative Council members and other students.

Submissions - written proposals and video/multimedia diaries - will be judged by a panel made up of dignitaries from Education, Business and Community Organsations. The finalists' entries will be presented at the yLead Awards Dinner and the winner announced on the night.

The school that presents the winning project will receive $10,000 of yLead Leadership Programs.

Registrations for the 2010 Community Leaders Awards are now closed and all participating schools will need to submit their entries by 31 August. Watch this page for details on the Awards Night in October and to see all the exciting leadership initiatives coming from the young people of south east Queensland.
