Judging Criteria

Judging Criteria & Weighting

  1. Judges are to assess the quality of the outcomes of the project and its alignment with ‘Leadership is any action that makes the world I touch a better place’.
  2. Equal weighting is to be given whether the beneficiary of the project is school, local community or world community.
  3. Consideration to be given to the presentation quality of the idea and written plan. Project should demonstrate a workable leadership structure, project milestones aligned to Award submission dates, non-financial resources plan i.e. People required to complete, communications and marketing plan, financial plan and clear expected outcomes/benefits to project, by which the success of the project will be measured.
  4. Leadership structure mentioned above should demonstrate a whole of school approach, with the Year 12 leaders being the coordinators of their project, delegating to other leaders and students throughout other year levels.
  5. Presentation and visual impact of video or PowerPoint submission will be a key factor in judging. Must clearly show the benefits of the project and connect the judges to ‘Leadership is any action that makes the world I touch a better place’.
  6. The winner will be the entry that presents highly in all areas of the submission. For example, a great idea poorly presented will not necessarily make the top 5 entries.
