Submission Criteria

Submission Criteria & Information

  1. Submissions accepted only by schools which had leaders attend Brisbane or Sunshine Coast Conference.
  2. The Conference will introduce and address the process required to initiate the award submission from your school.
  3. Submissions by video. Power point acceptable if filming not an option.
  4. Strict submission deadlines must be met. Submission registration by 31 March. Project DVD/powerpoint and paperwork submitted by 31 August. If, due to the nature of your project, it will not be completed in its entirety by this date, you must be able to demonstrate that certain milestones have at least been reached. You will need to liaise with your yLead mentor regarding these milestones.
  5. Submissions must demonstrate as a core proposition ‘Leadership is any action that makes the world I touch a better place’.
  6. Preference is given to outcomes that are not just purely fundraising. Get creative with your approach.
  7. Submissions must document a clear leadership structure that has a ‘team’ involving all school leaders and as much involvement from others as possible.
  8. You must have a minimum of two teachers supporting your project in a mentoring capacity, but not the doing.
  9. You will be allocated one contact from yLead to monitor and encourage your progress, by email.
  10. Heidi or Laury from the team will visit schools to encourage participation and liaise with teachers and leaders.
  11. You must have your Principal sign off on the completion of the project.
