Tanzanian Immersion

Tanzania helped me understand the beauty of life on earth and all that it has to offer.

- Kay Farrelly, Tanzanian Immersion 2005

From Mt Kilimanjaro (the Roof of Africa) to Ngorongoro Crater (the Garden of Eden), this is one immersion experience that will change your world. Ascending Kilimanjaro will challenge your body, mind and spirit! Dancing with the children of Mandela Primary will awaken within you a new rhythm of life. Living with their teachers in their simple Tanzanian homes is an unforgettable lesson in humanity.

You will visit the wonderful School of St Jude which was started by Gemma Sisia, an Australian woman from New South Wales. On safari you will be awestruck by the wildebeest migration. You may even witness a lion 'kill' or have the local hyenas visit your campsite for a midnight snack! You will feel as if you have stepped into the pages of a 100 National Geographics!

I went on this trip to climb Kilimanjaro, not realising that these three weeks would launch my life! I see the world differently. I see myself differently. I found meaning and purpose, and I found it through people. The beautiful teachers and students of Mandela Primary and 79 amazing Aussies with whom I shared this incredible experience. You simply should not miss it!

- Jordan Sparks, aged 19 years

I was 45 years of age when I went on Tanzanian Immersion and I must admit I wondered how I would go with these young'uns. On the last day in Zanzibar, I cried like a baby, thankful that three weeks with these terrific young Australians had helped me rediscover dreams and energy, hope and vitality, peace and appreciation for my life. Good stuff that I had lost in the reactive world of being a Corporate Exec. This was life-shifting!
