We were told it would be an ‘exceptional experience’ but it was better than that! It was amongst some of the best days we ever have experienced. Once we walked through the gates we were welcomed with open arms and the positive energy was mind boggling.
This conference wasn’t just listening and writing. We learnt so much just from listening to different peoples opinions on different topics and also getting involved in the activities. We have come away with some really inspirational memories and knowledge that will last a life time. To the students that are asked to attend this next year, don’t hesitate, it might sound a waste of time or that it will be boring, but you won’t regret it! Take a chance don’t be one of the crowd, BE A LEADER!
Mick, Galen Catholic College VIC, Conference Participant 2006
Before attending yLead I was excited, yet apprehensive about my new leadership role - what was expected of me and how to balance it with year 12. The camp was an exhilarating couple of days.
There was an amazingly positive setting, being together with about ninety other school captains and school leaders. All the activities, sessions and games we participated in had a message and a lesson to go along with it, enhancing our leadership skills in fun and innovative ways. Sessions varied from learning how to ‘tango’ to reflecting on our personal goals and aspirations. The camp was an amazingly diverse and positive experience and I look forward to this year’s leadership journey.

We had the most amazing two days we ever could have imagined! We came home feeling that this type of encouragement would be beneficial to our school as a whole. yLead inspired students to make a difference.
I would like to say a big thank you to the school for allowing us the excellent opportunity to attend the Australian Student Leadership Conference.
Matt, Lambton High School NSW, Conference Participant 2006
This day was great to learn about being yourself, taking action, seeing your true colours, believing in your dreams and helping others to co-operate.

I would just like to thank you and your team for such an amazing and incredible conference! I have had the best two days; I cannot seem to wipe the smile off my face…everyone was amazingly friendly and welcoming…I really appreciated everything that you and the leaders taught us.
Hannah, St Dominic's Priory College SA, Conference Participant 2009
I would just like to thank you for the inspirational two days. I attended yLead 2009 and it helped me in many different ways. It has especially helped me with my confidence to get up in front of others and speak. I really enjoyed myself and it really exceeded my expectations on so many levels. Once again I would like to thank you all for all you did for me. I would also like to thank all the leaders as they all taught us all something different from their own personal experiences that we can use to help us.
Matt, Toogoolawah SHS QLD, Conference Participant 2009
yLead provided me with the opportunity to reflect on my strengths and inspired me to embrace a positive energy to empower and influence others.

We have sent our student leaders, before they commence their Official duties, to the Australian Student Leadership Conference for a number of years. The boys return with an added sense of confidence, a greater appreciation of their own personal influence and with a support network of others that share their experiences as leaders of their own schools. I encourage other schools to invest in their leaders through the valuable experiences that yLead offers.

Aquinas College have been sending students to the annual Australian Student Leadership Conference for many years. Each year our College Captains return to school enthusiastic and ready to implement the strategies and ideas that have been imparted to them. The conference is relevant, inspiring and highly motivational, making it a very worthwhile experience for our students.

My name is Grace and I'm a student at Great Lakes College. Matt and Knowlesy from your team came and talked to us today at my school and I just wanted to say that I was really inspired and motivated by what they had to say. I thought it was great and I am really looking forward to hearing more in year 12.
