Service Leadership around the world
For the first time in human history there is a generation who has the opportunity to think globally and, should they choose to, act globally. Young Aussies today can make a difference in a third world country.

At yLead, being a leader who takes action within a community is what we are all about! Consequently, yTravel expeditions ask you to serve communities overseas. In turn, participants discover their enormous capacity to make a difference both locally and globally. Since our first expedition in 1999, our youthful Aussie travellers have:
- Sponsored 94 Tanzanian children through Years 8, 9 and 10.
- Annually, brought together 6 primary schools to participate in the only Primary School Athletics Carnival in the whole of Tanzania.
- Built a toilet block, a staff room and a 300 metre x 1.5 metre high perimeter besser-brick fence for the students and teachers of Mandela Primary.
- Purchased 6 computers, 2 printers and 5 whiteboards for the intellectually impaired students of Khagendra Vocational School in Kathmandu, Nepal.
- Painted 27 Primary classrooms in Tanzania and Nepal... inside and out!
- Spent US$5000 on grain and water to meet the desperate needs of The Kili Centre, which houses 42 street kids from the township of Moshi. Mikhara Ramsing from St Peters Lutheran College raised so much, she personally bought a kitchen boiler for an orphanage that educates 84 Maasai children.
Each year, yLead runs overseas travel expeditions to Tanzania in East Africa, and to Nepal & India. We invite you to browse the links on the left to find out more about these amazing trips.
